What is your current role on AMYPAD?

I have joined the AMYPAD team in January 2019 and started as research assistant for both the Diagnostic and Prognostic Study at the VUmc. Since November 2020, I started working as Clinical Trial Manager at the Sponsor Office of the Prognostic Study. In this new position, I work closely with the different sites to provide support in all aspects of site activity and to maintain Sponsor oversight. In addition, I support the local VUmc AMYPAD team and together we strive to make sure everything runs smoothly at our site.

What is your overall vision?

As part of AMYPAD, my first hope is that we can use the huge amount of valuable data on the different aspects of Alzheimer’s disease to contribute to a multilevel understanding of the disease and to improve healthcare for future patients. Secondly, I of course hope that we can make AMYPAD a success together with everyone involved in the project and it will lead to the improvement of the healthcare in Alzheimer’s disease.

What do you find most challenging about the project?

The AMYPAD project is huge which makes it challenging to fully comprehend the project and all of its details. Moreover, we are all familiar with the additional challenges due to COVID-19. However, it is great to see that everyone is doing the best they can to achieve our goals!
