On 4 May 2018, the members of the Amyloid Imaging to Prevent Alzheimer’s Disease (AMYPAD) initiative announced the recruitment of its first research participant within the diagnostic and patient management study (DPMS). The first participant was recruited in Geneva, Switzerland. Since the first recruitment, the UNIGE team has recruited 107 participants of which 49 have already been scanned.
Since last year, the members of the DPMS made good progress activating additional sites. The AMYPAD DPMS Protocol is now approved in Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, France, England, and Germany. Six sites are actively enrolling participants in Geneva (UNIGE), Amsterdam (VUmc), Toulouse (CHUT), Barcelona (BBRC), Cologne (UKK) and London (UCL) with currently 301 patients in AMYPAD DPMS spread on the active sites. 133 of them having been scanned.
In addition, the DPMS team is locking down additional details for participation of additional recruiting sites.
