The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) is the largest organisation dedicated to nuclear medicine in Europe. Its vision is to optimise and advance science and education in nuclear medicine for the benefit of public health and humanity within the concept of personalised healthcare.
The 32nd Annual EANM congress took place this year in Barcelona, Spain, from 12 to 16 October and welcomed almost 6700 participants. Delegates had the opportunity to meet and interact with friends and colleagues from all over the world, to discuss science and to learn about the exciting developments in nuclear medicine.
On 13 October, Chris Buckley (GE Healthcare) gave a talk on AMYPAD analysis with AmyPype in the e-poster presentations session. His talk was titled “AmyPype: an automated system to quantify AMYPAD’s [18F]flutemetamol and [18F]florbetaben images including regional SUVR and Centiloid analysis”. In addition, Fiona Heeman (VUmc) presented an e-poster “The impact of reference region choice on the apparent ordering of amyloid deposition”.
We were also pleased that AMYPAD was presented at the GE Healthcare Flutemetamol user group meeting by Lyduine Collij (VUmc), Juan Domingo Gispert (BBRC) and Gemma Salvadó (BBRC).
The event was very rich and productive. We look forward to continuing the conversations at next year’s EANM in Vienna, Austria (October 17–21, 2020). Save the date!
